violence in schools

Violence in schools.

I am a student studying towards B.Ed and because of what is happening in schools I am not too sure whether I still want to be a teacher anymore. Learners are very angry, I don't really know why they are so upset, they carry knives even guns to schools. Not so long ago One of the teachers from Edgewood was killed by a learner. This year the school I went to CALLED HLONONO during my teaching practise, a learner was also killed by a learner. where is this anger from the learners coming from?

The government on the other side is paying the teachers far less they what they should be erning. Teachers create, shape and give direction to the young stars. They produce lawyers, doctors etc and they are exposed to this anger of children yet government is paying them peanuts. The teachers as well as other learners are always in danger, the teaching and learning environment is no longer conducive for the teachers and learners, mostly in rural and township schools.

Did I chose the wrong career? I ask myself that question every single day, just because of violence in schools.

the government has to do something.

RE;DATING IN HIGH SHOOL
RAYMOND MNGADI 10.05.2010 14:44

Most of the learners do not take the serious issue of dating in high school. Personally I've been attended at rural school, which is educational desadvantaged from KWANYUSWA RESERVE nearby PINE TOWN The things that I've noticed there is that learners do not take into account what their parents say to them. if you are still at high school there are some of the things that you not aware of,espacial if you are a girl, for example to fall in love with taxi driver you opportunity to be unsuccessful in life is 100% because you can focus on your boyfriend intead of doing your school work diligently.

When your parets tell you what to do with your life does not necessarily means that they don't love you but the know what best for you, there is no one in the world who can love you mon than just your parents you could imagine that your parent kikked you out of their house what you would you do because your boyfriend do not love you he want you to be fine.remember "WHEN DAYS ARE DARK FRIENDS ARE FEW" these words also applies to this situation. My mother had absolutely forbiden me to have a girl friend at an early age that helped me because I'm still alive if I commited my self in love maybe I would die because we are living besieged by HIV/AIDS.

In conclusion every girls who live at KWANYUSWA BOTHA'S HILL must note that they are beautiful don't wast your beauty with ugly take care of your self don't forget to stay at school so that you can make educated decision in your life espacial if you live at MOONLIGHT, KWA MANQOBA ,MNAMATHA, SONDELA EMKHONTWENI SKOTSHI SHAYAMOYA MAGATSHA MLAMBO ,EZITHOLENI, ESIDANGENI ,KWANGODE ,as well as MATHEBETHU.

I THANK YOU :

With only lacking
Tshofa Moloi 09.06.2009 15:43

Before we can say 'knowledge is power' we need to first be informed. In my case, information is power because if you are not informed you can not say you know. But that information is not only found in education institutions but everywhere in the world even to places not much exposed.

Eagerness to learn comes from within. And it is every individual's responsibility to go out and search information to equip their minds. Nowadays, information is easily accessible and it's galore yet people still seem uninformed and that is the invitation to death.

Striving for the best
Ayanda Papu 17.05.2009 21:10

I'm in grade 10 at one of the best school in cape town at Wynberg Girls' High,i'm a very eager learner but never been an academic learner but that has never stopped me from doing my best,i've recently had a science expo and i got 68% with my partner and i really did work hard and we're now starting trig at school and mymaths marks have really improve, what i've learnt is even though i'll never be an A-straight student I can strive for perfection it could be 5% or 10% more,I could strive for 50 and 70 but what matters is that, through every project and assignment one has they must always try to learn something new from it because that makes you grow as a person and we must always remember that no one is perfect and not everything is easy and will just some in a silver platter,so to everyone out thre keep your head up and good luck to all matrics, work hard and enjoy your final year because it only comes once.......God bless
LEADERSHIP IN HIGH SCHOOLS.
thulani myeza 01.03.2007 16:39
Most of the scholars do not take serious the issue of leadership in high schools, this is evidented by the way they behave which is not good.personally i've been the RCL PRESIDENT at school for 3 full years, which is 2004 when iwas doing grade 10 up until year 2006,which is the year i got matriculated.i attended at MNYAMENI ZENEX SECONDARY SCHOOL which located at KWANYUSWA (Ezitholeni),which is not that far from my school.

I think if you're a leader you must try by all means to rule by example.your must'nt forget that your have a task of always portraying a good examplary style which learners can copy from. This must haunt in each and every RCL member and CLASS REPS. as awhole. And i regard this as a mission which should be accomplished successfully by each and every learner that is engaged in all high school leadership, and by so doing good interaction in education and culture of respect will prevail and education may be a lot of fun.

Inconclusion, to all the learners out there i know that its hard but just keep on phushing ,do your work diligently and sacrificially and i promise to you guys that by so doing you will reap some fruitful achievements. And i presume that you know that hard work breeds success, and all the FLOWERS OF TOMORROW ARE ON THE SEEDS OF TODAY,which means all the decisions that you make today will dertermine your destiny. And remember WHERE THERE IS NO VISION PEOPLE PERISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank you.
